How to create a Facebook poll
Businesses can create and publish Facebook polls to their Story, Facebook videos, Facebook groups, and Facebook event pages. Here’s how to create each type of Facebook poll.
Note: Currently, there is not a way to publish a poll to a business Facebook page and have it show up on the News Feed. That feature is only available to personal Facebook users.
How to create a Facebook poll on your Story
- In the Facebook app, tap the plus sign to Create Story.
- Upload or record your photo or video.
- Tap the sticker icon in the top right and select “Poll.”
- Write out your question and answers.
- Tap “Done.”
- Tap “Share to Story.”
- Swipe up on your Story to view the poll results as they come in.
How to create a Facebook poll on a Facebook video
- While uploading your video, click on “Polls.”
- Click “Create Poll.”
- Write out your question and answers.
- Choose when you want your poll to appear in the video. Enter the start and end time.
- Select whether or not you want viewers to see the poll results.
- Click “Save.”
- To add another poll, click “Add another poll” and repeat steps 1-6.
- Click “Done” and finish uploading your video.
How to create a Facebook poll in a Facebook group
- Navigate to Groups and select the Group you want to create a poll for.
- Click on “Write something…”
- Click the three dots in the bottom right and select “Poll.”
- Write out your question and answers.
- Click “Post” and watch the answers roll in.
How to create a Facebook poll for a Facebook Event
- Navigate to Events and select the Event you want to create a poll for.
- Go to the Discussion section and select “Add a Post.”
- Click the three dots in the bottom right and select “Poll.”
- Write out your question and answers.
- Click “Post.”
